![]() Chocolate chip cookies are both mine and my husband's favorite cookie. However, sometimes we find them too sweet. How do you keep your chocolate cravings satisfied yet tamper down the sweetness? Crisp chocolate biscotti come to mind for cookie that has subtle sweetness and yet fulfills the chocolate craving. The recipe I comes from a TV show from the year 2000 called New York Eats. The show was hosted by Ed Levine and Jeffrey Steingarten. I don’t recall much of the show, however, this Nick Malgieri recipe is from one of those episodes. The other day when I made this recipe I found that I was out of Dutch process cocoa, so I used regular cocoa. There is a difference between regular cocoa powder and Dutch process. However, my cookie supply was depleted and I used what I had. One other thing that I’ll do in the future, is to wear better glasses. It seems I misread the recipe and set my oven too high (375 degrees vs. 325 degrees). My biscotti were extra crisp, yikes! Index
