![]() When I was a young bride, my mother got me a subscription to Good Housekeeping Magazine. It was filled with excellent articles on home-keeping, etiquette, recipes, fiction stores, product testing and health and beauty. Many years ago, around the holidays, the magazine published a recipe for a liquid potpourri that you can make at home. When my children were younger, I used to have this sitting on my stove and just heat it up ever so gentle to infuse the aroma throughout the house.
Here’s what your need: Add 2 cups of pineapple juice into a small saucepan, add a few cinnamon sticks, a tablespoon of whole cloves, ground ginger or pickling spice (I used pickling spice). Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered. As the liquid evaporates, you can add some water to the mixture. It can be reheated numerous times throughout the holidays. Index
