![]() What a miserable day today is. The howling wind, the rainy blowing sideways and yet it's off to work I must go tonight. I like to get my dinner done ahead of time and my kitchen cleaned up. Ruffling through a file folder of recipes I came across chicken and broccoli stir fry. It's a recipe from Dorothy Davis in Bon Appetit Magazine, December 1995. The recipe is quick and one pan. It can easily be reheated for the husband. Knowing that Monday was going to be a miserable day, I picked up a package of boneless chicken breasts at Whole Foods on Sunday. I purchased their store brand for $4.99/lb. I could have gotten a family pack for $4.69/lb., but my freezer is rather full still. The broccoli and red pepper came from Delicious Orchards.
I prepped the onion, pepper, broccoli, garlic and ginger before I started. I also needed a bit of chicken stock for the sauce in the recipe. Again, I used my Williams-Sonoma chicken stock concentrate, very handy to have on hand. In less than 45 minutes, I had my dinner done. and the accompanying white rice complete. Index
