For entrees, my husband chose Spaghetti Carbonara with guanciale, egg, black pepper and Pecorino Romano cheese. I chose their signature dish, potato gnocchi, dressed with a Gorgonzola cream sauce and toasted walnuts. My husband practically licked his plate clean. It was flavorsome. My gnocchi was heavenly, so light. The cream sauce was luscious, a hint of sharpness and the walnuts adding texture and crunch; so good.
Flavia’s is one of few restaurants that offer a bread basket for the table. I don’t know where they purchase their bread, but it too was delicious. It had a nice crust and chew. They serve it with a peppery olive oil, which complements the bread. If you’re ever in the Asbury Park area, I recommend that you try Flavia’s Cucina. Index
