After the Easter holiday, I'm having a bit of a struggle to get in the cooking mood. However, I'm on fold patrol Tuesday and Wednesday night, so organization is the key. Whole Foods has whole organic chicken on sale until tomorrow for $2.29/lb. I have a recipe from the April/May 2011 issue of Garden and Gun Magazine. I've searched on line for the recipe, but appears I have to type this one up. Besides a whole chicken, I need creamy peanut butter, green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, cayenne pepper, fresh ginger and garlic. It seems this recipe will take me approximately an hour from start to finish. Other contenders for the week are, grilled Asian pork chops and baby bok choy (Buon Appetit Magazine, August 2004) and stir-fried sesame beef (Gourmet Magazine, September 1996). I love chicken murphy, so I may try a recipe from Southern Living Magazine (date unknown, recipe to be typed). I'm using the Personal Shopping service of Delicious Orchards to place my produce order. I submit my order on line, you can also call it in, they shop for me, bag it up and charge it to my bank card. All my husband has to do is pick it up. Life made easy! Another day done...time for bed.
