 Below is the recipe for Great Grandma Freid's dressing for turkey or chicken. Grandma's recipe called for margarine, but I have updated it to butter. I also use half of the amount of butter called for and substitute chicken stock. You can also add the defatted turkey drippings over the top of the stuffing so that it has the flavor of turkey. Alternately, you can add the drippings to your turkey gravy to enhance the flavor. I am also getting ready to go to work later this afternoon. To make my life easy, I am making pumpkin baked oven risotto from Williams-Sonoma. Right now it's on sale for $11.87, reduced from $16.95. I, ever the bargain hunter, got it on sale for $6.99. They also carry porcini mushroom oven baked risotto. As I type this entry, I'm eating my risotto and it's great on a cold afternoon.
