![]() The other day my husband was making meals suggestions to me. After awhile one tends to get in a rut with meal preparation and you need someone to remind you of dish that has been taken off the cooking circuit. Turkey polpettone is one of those dishes. Back in 2002, I believe chef Michael Chiarello had a cooking show on one of the public broadcasting stations. He prepared this dish of turkey polpettone. These turkey patties are, do I dare say refreshing. Perhaps it's the addition of fresh sage, lemon zest and the green onion that give it that taste. In the center of each patty is a piece of mozzarella. In under 30 minutes you have a heart healthy, delicious meal on the table. My husband just wanted a salad to round out the meal. To keep on the heart healthy track, I prepared homemade balsamic vinegrette, another recipe from Gourmet Magazine, June 1994. My thanks to Paul of Tile Importers & Distributaors, Inc. (Ceramic Tile and Marble) 5111 Route 33 & 34 East, Wall Farmingdale NJ 07727, phone 732-938-7676 for the ELG Vision Calacatta polished tile. Index
