I found the recipe for the red velvet scones in a King Arthur Flour catalog. I was able to whip the scones rather quickly so by 10 a.m. we enjoyed a nice mid morning snack. The scones are accompanied with a cream cheese filling...yum! One unusual item for that the recipe calls for is Red Velvet Cake flavor. Although you can purchase this product through King Arthur Flour, it is also available from Amazon. Amazon's price it's slightly less and source offers free shipping. Once I was done with the scones and cleaning up the dishes, it was time to prepare the soup. The soup recipe comes from Better Homes and Gardens cookbook entitled Classic International Recipes © 1982. It's an easy straightforward recipe that I have been making for over 30 years. The ingredients are common pantry items. With the chilly temperatures into the weekend, this would be a good time to make some soup. Index
